Scooter Rental FAQ

How much does scooter rental cost per day in Chiang Mai?+

A 125cc Honda Click or Scoopy starts from ~200 THB/day at Rider's Corner. Larger 160cc adventure scooters (ADV160, PCX160) run 400–600 THB/day, and the 350cc ADV350 / Forza 350 are 700–900 THB/day. See live prices in the bike list above.

What are weekly and monthly scooter rental rates?+

Weekly rentals on a 125cc scooter run ~1,500 THB; monthly contracts come in around 4,500 THB — a per-day equivalent of ~150 THB. Long-term rates save 30–50% versus the daily rate. Always book the long-term contract from the start rather than extending day-by-day.

Are helmets and phone holders included?+

Yes — every Rider's Corner scooter comes with a free helmet and a phone holder fitted to the handlebars. A second helmet is available for passengers on request.

What is the deposit?+

A refundable deposit of 2,000–5,000 THB on standard scooters, up to 10,000 THB on the ADV350. Cash or passport accepted, and returned in full when the scooter comes back undamaged.

Do I need an International Driving Permit (IDP)?+

Yes. Thai law requires a motorcycle license — either a Thai motorcycle license or an IDP with the motorcycle category, alongside your home country license. Riding without one can void your travel insurance if there's an accident.

Can I book online with instant confirmation?+

Yes. Pick your scooter, dates and pickup time, pay online, and you'll receive an immediate confirmation email — no waiting on Line, WhatsApp or email replies.

What's the fuel policy?+

Return as received — same fuel level as when you collected the scooter. Most scooters take 91 octane petrol (red pump). A full tank on a 125cc costs ~100–120 THB.

Can I take the scooter to Pai or on the Mae Hong Son loop?+

Yes — all our scooters are allowed on the Pai and Mae Hong Son loops. A 125cc is doable but tiring on the long mountain sections. For comfort on the full loop, step up to a 160cc adventure scooter or the 350cc ADV350.
